12 week On-Camera Class Weekend Intensive completion is not a prerequisite, but it is highly recommended. The idea of ‘getting a job’ and ‘having a career’ are two separate things. In Weekend Intensive we concentrate on getting a job. In this class, we focus on having a career. The actors “Career Concept” is explored in depth. We get very specific in helping the actor define what that desired career is and what it’s going to take to achieve it. Through assignments and projects we help the actor make it happen. Competitive auditioning with call-backs will be introduced. We will teach more advanced work with digital editing and filmmaking, so the actor has a greater ability to create their own projects. There will be ongoing study of the great films and film actors, as well as visiting speakers - film directors, alumni speakers, casting directors. There are bi-weekly film assignments to be completed outside of class.
