Boot Camp

Admission by interview only. Must meet preliminary requirements

• Completion of Twelve Week Course
• Must have representation
• Must be in SAG
• Must have worked in the industry
• Must have graduated from previous OCC class

This class is set up as a very high gradient intended to challenge the actor to confront and accomplish a set of personal goals and industry targets that will be established in the beginning of the class. The goals and targets are individual in nature and will be conceived by the student and Richard Lawson himself.

The purpose of this class is to help the actor to create clarity about themselves and what they want, a work ethic to help them achieve it and a competitive game that will be fun and exciting in the process. Ultimately it's about having intention without hesitation.

We will audition on camera every week.

Some of the areas we will be covering will include but not be limited to:

• Headshots – Are they your killer shots or do you need new pics?
• Resume – Updated and professional
• Reel – Does it reflect your best work? Is it well cut? Professional
• Business Cards
• What is your Casting
• Analyzing genres of TV shows and the appropriate acting demands. Procedural shows, one-camera comedies, four camera comedies, fantasy shows, etc.
• Targeting shows that fit your first circle of casting
• Career Concept with focus on Pilot Season
• What is your Physical Condition – Are you fit?
• Is your place of residence a place where art can occur – Do you need to get rid of the clutter?

This is a 12 week class
